Last Wednesday (4 April 2018) LBPC hosted the annual Felicity Bickley Audio Visual Challenge for the Felicity Bickley Trophy.
This is an annual inter-club competition for projected Audio-Visual (AV) sequences. Each club may enter two AVs (each with a maximum run time of 10 minutes).
There were six entries from LBPC, Swavesey Camera Club and Buckingham Camera Club. There was no set theme or subject and the entries covered a wide range of subject matter and approach – war, agriculture, nostalgia, surfing, work and workers, rock music, people, portraiture, abstract, colour and monochrome were all represented – and featured a variety of musical styles.
The judge for this competition was Alison Jenkins LRPS CPAGB, a professional photographer from Ware. This was her first time judging an AV competition.
The results were as follows
- 1st – “My Private Peaceful” by Jim Waddington (Buckingham CC)
- 2nd – “Extreme at RMF” (at the Ramblin Man Fair 2017) by Ian Johnson (Swavesey CC)
- Unplaced – “The Farm”
- Unplaced – “Surf’s Up”
- Unplaced – “Nine 2 Five”
- Unplaced – “Metamorphosis 2”
