Our second internal league competition of the 2025-26 season took place on Wednesday 5 November.

The set subject, for both prints and projected digital images, was “Low Light”.

The Programme notes added “Low light can add atmosphere and focus to an image, changing the way we see the scene.  Your images need to use limited light to lift the picture above the ordinary.  Natural, and artificial lighting, and long exposure are all in scope.”

As usual, the entries covered a creatively wide range of subjects and genres.  Accordingly, we were treated to a feast of landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes, portraits, still life, wildlife, travel, silhouettes, and so much more, in both colour and monochrome.

Our independent CACC judge for the competition was Patrick Seehanach from Watford Camera Club (where he is a member of the External Competition Selection Committee).

Each entry was marked out of 20.  Marks for this competition count towards the season’s Print and Digital Image Championships.

The top performers in the competition were as below.
