The annual, and prestigious, LBPC Portfolio Competition took place on Wednesday 5April.

This is an open subject competition, in colour or monochrome.  But the images must show some link – such as a common colour, subject or shape – identifiable by the judge.

Entries consist of three to six prints or digital images to be judged as a panel.  There are separate print and digital image competitions.  Full details of the entry requirements can be found on the Internal Competitions, Rules for Entry page of the website, under the Portfolio Competition tab.

The portfolios entered covered all sorts of styles and subjects (including travel, close-up, abstract, wildlife, landscape, intimate landscape, nostalgia, motor sport, and architecture, and both colour and black and white).  And the groups of digital images were presented in some very imaginative arrangements.

Our independent judge for the competition was Colin Southgate FRPS DPAGB from Harpenden, a very experienced photographer and judge.  He has judged for LBPC on numerous occasions.

After Colin’s deliberations and constructive critique, the results were as below.
