Our new Mobile Phone Competition took place on Wednesday 1 June via Zoom conferencing.

This was an “open” competition (with no set subject) for digital images.  Accordingly, the images entered covered all sorts of subjects and styles (including landscape, seascape, travel, sunsets, street/candid, close-up, nature, and both colour and black and white).

There was no judge – positions were determined by the votes of the members attending the meeting.

There were 33 entries for this competition and, from an impressive field of images, the results were

  • 1st place – “GOLDEN MIST” by David Manning
  • 2nd place – “BRIGHTON SEAFRONT” by Mike Kitchingman
  • =3rd place – “HIGH KEY BEE” by Sandra Eve
  • =3rd place – “A NEW DAY” by Paul Needham
  • Highly Commended – “LAKESIDE” by Paul Needham
  • Commended – “OBLIVIOUS TO THE ART” by Val Bolam
  • Commended – “EILEAN DONAN CASTLE” by Malcolm Guy
  • Commended – “PUMUKKALE” by Chris Warby

Congratulations to David on winning this new competition with his intriguingly textured woodland scene.  He wins a certificate (!), the glory, and the approbation of fellow members.
