Print and Digital Image of the Year Competitions

As the climax to the 2017-18 season, our annual Print and Digital Image of the Year competitions took place on Wednesday evening (6 June 2018).  As set out in the Handbook, members could enter up to two prints or digital images that they have “previously entered in any one of that season’s six club competitions”.

This year the two competitions were judged by Kathy Chantler ARPS (Secretary of the ImageZ Camera Club at Weston Turville) who has visited LBPC previously this season, both as a judge and as a speaker.

After completing the judging, Kathy said she had found it “really hard” and praised the high standard of the entries.

14 images were entered for the Print of the Year competition.  The results were:

  • 1st place – “Fractured Reality” by Mike Kitchingman
  • 2nd place – “Waiting for the Light” by Tim Gould
  • 3rd place – “Abandoned to the Sea” by Tim Gould
