Our third internal club competition of the 2025-26 season took place on Wednesday 10 December.

This was an “open” competition (ie, with no set subject) for both prints and projected digital images.

Our independent judge for the competition was Martin Patten DPAGB BPE5* EFIAP QPSA, a professional photographer with a previous background in the IT industry.  He is President of Watford CC, a past Chairman of the CACC, and a long-time judge for the CACC and surrounding regions.

Martin praised the quality of the images and enjoyed the great variety of different styles and genres.  These included wildlife (birds, insects, mammals, frogs) architecture, portraiture, seascape, landscape (including intimate landscape), street/candid, composite, creative, still life, colour, and monochrome.

Each entry was marked out of 20 and the marks count towards the season’s Print and Digital Image Championships.
