Once again, we have arrived at the grand climax to our photographic season.

Our annual Print and Digital Image of the Year competitions took place on Wednesday 14 June.  Members were invited to submit their best work of the season.

As set out in the competition rules, members may enter up to two images that have “previously been entered … in one of that season’s six club league competitions”.

Our independent judge for the competition was Amanda Wright, the External Competitions Secretary of Ealing & Hampshire House Photographic Society (founded in 1890, this is one of the oldest photographic societies in the world).

Amanda indicated that she expected to “hold back” quite a few images as “I like to see them side by side”.  She also provided a fulsome and comprehensive critique of each image.
