The third internal club competition of the 2020-21 season took place on Wednesday 25 November.
So this was an “open” competition for digital images. As usual, entries covered a wide range of subjects and approaches, as well as many photographic genres including landscape, seascape, nature, still life, creative, close-up, colour, and monochrome, and more.
Our judge for the competition was Micki Aston LRPS CPAGB MCIoJ, a professional stock photographer based in Gerrards Cross. While she specialises in landscape photography, she will happily shoot any subject that she finds interesting. Being an extremely experienced judge herself, Micki also helps train CACC judges.
Before commencing Micki explained that each image would be judged against all the other images in the competition – it was all about the standard on the night.
Micki remarked several times on the very high standard of the competition. She thought the “held back” entries would make “a really good panel of images”.
Marks for this competition count towards the season’s Digital Image Championship (Sections One and Two) – see the Internal competitions, Rules for Entry page of the website for details.
If you missed this competition you can watch the recording, available in the Members Only section of the website.
