An evening photo walk at Dunstable Downs.
Wednesday 17th July 2019
Meet up at 7:30 pm @ the Dunstable Downs, Chilterns Gateway Centre car park located off the B4541 (Click HERE for directions)
Shoot until about 9:30 pm (sunset: 21:o9 ; last light: 21:53 )
End the evening with a drink at The Cross Keys Pub, Tottenhoe (Click HERE for location)
In the photo walk you will have the opportunity to;
- Learn and share photographic skills
- Socialize with other club members
- Capture images for the club competitions next season
- Help plan for a future photographic event
- Socialize with other club members
- Ohh and just for FUN
Bring a camera and/or smartphone and any other equipment you can easily carry around. Bring Tripods if you have them!
Stand on top of Dunstable Downs for a view that will simply take your breath away. These Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) are designated for the quality of their chalk grasslands. As well as two Scheduled Ancient Monuments (Five Knolls and Medieval Rabbit Warrens) there are many other historical features and the site has much to offer you. The chalk grasslands of the Downs have miles of footpaths and several circular walks, a fascinating history and an abundance of plants and wildlife. Dunstable Downs is within the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and the highest point in Bedfordshire. The wind-swept ridge provides ideal conditions for a variety of air sports, especially kite flying.

Car parking
The main car park at Chilterns Gateway Centre is Pay & Display with a flat charge of £3. Two other car pars are available off the B4551 chares not know at this time.

There are no public toilets
