LBPC Christmas Card 2021 Competition – Winner Mike Kitchingman
Christmas Message From Mike Kitchingman, LBPC Chairman
Hi everyone, nearly halfway through the season and Christmas and the New Year are upon us already. It’s been another tricky one for us all but we’ve made it this far helped along by the very imaginative program that Carol and Tricia have cooked up along the way which has kept us all entertained, so a big thank you to them both together with Paul N. our virtual link.
We’ll be back on the 5th of January all guns blazing and I know Carol and Tricia have got some even better stuff on the menu for us so I look forward to catching up with you all then.
So, in closing, thanks to everybody for your support and have a most enjoyable Christmas and New Year and above all keep snapping.
Welcome to Leighton Buzzard Photographic Club (LBPC)
We are a thriving camera club which normally meets every Wednesday at 7.30 pm (starting at 8 pm).
Unfortunately, during the Covid-19 pandemic and in line with Government recommendations, we are currently unable to hold any face-to-face meetings.
Instead, however, we are running our meetings online using Zoom conferencing. We will continue to run a full programme of competitions, expert speakers and other events, that appeals to those who are new to photography as well as the established photographer seeking an outlet for creativity. Indeed, the online format enables us to use speakers who would otherwise not be available to us because they are based too far away from Leighton Buzzard.
Full details of the Programme can be found here CLUB PROGRAMME. NB The Programme is subject to change so do keep checking.
During the photo walk, you will have the opportunity to: Learn from other members; Socialize with other club members; Maybe capture images for club competitions; But mainly it’s about practising & for FUN
Bring a camera and/or smartphone and any other equipment you can easily carry around. Bring Tripods if you have them!
Every Monday Members are invited to attend a coffee morning for an informal get-together. If you are interested in joining the Club you are very welcome to pop along for a chat.

Photo Critique – External Critique by Robert Friel of member’s phone images.
Robert gave us a talk in November and he returns to critique the phone images we have submitted. This will tie in nicely with submissions for the CACC Phone Photography competition in February. We have a club Phone Image Competition towards the end of the season.
