Affinity Photo Videos & Other Useful Resources

Here is some additional viewing specifically for Affinity Photo (AP). We will start right back at the basics of AP:

Start The Triage Process

  • Create your   Smart Collection In Adobe Bridge called “Portfolio Editing Stage 1”
  • Make sure you top most Photography folder is added to Favourites
  • Pick that as the starting folder for your Smart Collection
  • Rule 1 – Label equals Yellow
  • Rule 2 – Rating equals one star
  • Match – If all criteria are met
  • Tick – include all subfolders
  • Tick – Include non-indexed files

Add the images from Last nights photo critique – give each image 1 star (Ctrl (PC) Cmd (mac) + 1   |  and set the colour label to Yellow  –  (Ctrl (PC) Cmd (mac) + 7

Start looking through your images, identify those you think will make a club photography photo and give them 1 star and set the label to Yellow.

This little tip adds an extra pinch of creativity, turning standard panoramas into miniature planets that really have the “wow” factor. The technical name for this technique is “stereographic projection” but don’t let the name put you off – it’s very simple to do and only takes 5 minutes.
